VI

by Emily Dickinson

IF you were coming in the fall,
I'd brush the summer by
With half a smile and half a spurn,
As housewives do a fly.

If I could see you in a year,
I'd wind the months in balls,
And put them each in separate drawers,
Until their time befalls.

If only centuries delayed,
I'd count them on my hand,
Subtracting till my fingers dropped
Into Van Diemen's land.

If certain, when this life was out,
That yours and mine should be,
I'd toss it yonder like a rind,
And taste eternity.

But now, all ignorant of the length
Of time's uncertain wing,
It goads me, like the goblin bee,
That will not taste its sting.

My gorgeous fiance and I.

by Emily Dickinson

WHERE every bird is bold to go,
       And bees abashless play,
The foreigner before he knocks,
        Must thrust the tears away.

Two minutes later with only two bobby pins holding it together, I made this out of my hair:

What is a "good life?"

I don't believe we always have to be happy to have a good life. Sometimes I am not satisfied with something and it upsets me. I think that's normal. I refuse to settle - I strive for excellence. When I am happy, you know I have reached my goals. -me

-as a lyricist, the image is just as important as the word...i become my lyrics.

Bitter Paradox Update

Oh wow!  Well... a lot has happened since I last posted back in January.  The greatest news is how well my music project, Bitter Paradox is doing.  We have ten songs tight and are in the process of working on about five more. Our logo came out awesome as well!  We also got some sweet pics and new songs up on the reverbnation page as well as facebook.  Check those out!

This was my favorite solo shot from the shoot.
Here's our new logo and bumper sticker!

Bitter Paradox 2012

Happy New Year everyone!  Bitter Paradox started the year off with a bang by playing a little mini show for friends and family at the Meridian on Sand Key.  Peter stroked the keys of a gorgeous Grand Piano for the songs "To Love Me", "Polyamorous", and "Run From What You Fear."  Check out the video below!  Also, we are playing TWO open mics this month, so check out our reverb page for details

We want to thank everyone for their support.  We plan to release an EP come March 15th.  Any input on which songs you would like to have on it (we plan to include at least 4 songs, max 6), let us know!  In the mean time, enjoy a live performance of "Polyamorous".
